A Dunnock – I’ve just done some reading up about this little bird (in my trusty Birds Britannica) and it is also known as a Hedge Spadger, which is such a great name!
Also is said to have a private life that is ‘perhaps the most complex known in British birds’ – basically lots of swapping and sharing!

One of my favourite birds. Often mistaken and ignored as a juvenile robin or a house sparrow. I love their secretive behaviour and subtle colouring 🙂

Beautiful! I think I never have seen one. According to my bird book these live in forests in Finland, though everywhere else in Europe they can be seen in parks and gardens.

You’ve given me a idea Sirpa – wouldn’t it be great to have bird books from different countries to compare them : )
