I do like crows. They are quite smart, aren’t they? I read somewhere that they even fashion tools out of sticks and such to use for gathering their food.
The other day, on the way to town, I passed by a group of seven or eight buzzards (they could have been vultures) by the side of the road. One was in the ditch, dining on a road kill deer, the others were all lined up on an old wooden fence, wings out and very still. I always imagine that when they hold their wings out that way that they are warming up their “arm pits”. It truly was a wonderful sight and I wished I had my camera, tho. there is no place to pull over and if I had, I may have added to their meal.
(oh, do forgive the rambling comment.)
That’s great, I like rambling moments: ) It’s always the same though isn’t it, the time you go out without your camera a whole host of brilliant potential pictures appear!
