Dandelions

I have to resist the temptation to post lots of photos of dandelions – maybe it’s because we’re surrounded by them that they end up on my camera so often, but if they had prettier leaves and weren’t so invasive I think they would be a more ‘loved’ plant! They also make fine subjects for a little outdoor fun, so…. we did these a few days ago and who would have guessed that you’d get such great curly stem ends, something they share with Calla liliies apparently.

I love those curly stem ends. I never knew they would do that. You know I love dandelions too. We still have some…you know…in our manicured lawn. Ha ha…what lawn?

Oh, we have the same theme today! 🙂
Your pictures are wonderful!
How did you make the lovely compositions? You broke the dandelion stalk to get the beautiful sticks with rounded heads, bit what are the “stars”? Can they be just the middle part of the flower?

Thankyou Sirpa : ) I think your photos are wonderful!
the stars are what’s left when all the seeds have gone but they don’t stay like that for long.

LOVE these pictures and what you did with the dandelions!! As a child I used to sit for hours, cutting up the stems and putting them in water, watching them curl up …
