A few days ago I took the following photo’s of two lovely butterflies, who had taken up residence on a clump of snowdrops.
They are Orange Tips, pretty common but very beautiful!
This one we found last year – a dead ringer for Gonzo from the Muppets.
Any help in identification would be appreciated.
Also is it just me but does anyone else find butterfly and moth faces quite cute?

Lovely pics as ever. I hadn’t seen an orange tip in over 20 years, but last year they were everywhere so I hope the same will be true this year as they’re lovely.
My best guess for Gonzo’s ID is Crambus pascuella, the Grass Moth….
