A trip to the seaside

Yesterday we went to our favourite beach.

We do manage to go every month or so and often have it almost entirely to ourselves – it is most certainly a strange world.Yesterday it was breezy but the sun was shining and we were alone for the best part of 4 hours, bliss!

We found wonderful fossils, (it is an amateur fossil hunters paradise.) and the ‘little un’ (and me) made some lovely Andy Goldsworthy inspired pebble stacks. His sculpture is great for encouraging kids to have a go, he makes it look deceptively easy so you feel that you could achieve something similar and we often do – the stream near our house often has strange leaf covered stones and strange structures appearing!

  1. Oh i do love the seaside, though we don’t manage to get there often enough (we’re a little land locked in Nottingham).

I don’t think I’d be able to pull myself away from that beach…

The pebble stacks are great, I’ll have to (try) and remember to have a go next time we’re at the beach.

Your photos are really beautiful xxx
