A day out at Westonbirt Arboretum, a traffic jam to get in (yes really – go early if you want to take photos without taking into consideration how many peoples legs you have in your photo!) But it was worth it – beautiful trees and glorious autumn colour.









Stunning shots of the lovely Acers – this could double up as your colours of the week!
I think I actually know what the fungus is this time – it looks like a Boletus of some kind & is often dependent on which sort of tree it was growing under. If it was under a beech tree it was probably Boletus edulis sometimes called the Cep or Penny Bun mushroom 🙂

there’s plenty more for colour of the week Bob : ) can you have Acer overload? It does look like a Cep doesn’t it but I didn’t notice which tree it was under – I was all tree’d out!
